Hstoday ERO Houston captures 5 murderous fugitives in 2 weeks

In just two weeks, ERO Houston and ERO Waco fugitive operations agents successfully apprehended five illegal non-citizens who are currently wanted for murder or homicide in the United States or abroad. ‘stranger.

Illegally present fugitives arrested by ERO Houston and ERO Waco during this two-week period included:

  • A 38-year-old Honduran national in an illegal situation, wanted in Mexico for several murders, was apprehended on May 23 in Galveston. The arrest was made by ERO Houston Fugitive Operations agents after receiving information from the National Criminal Targeting and Analysis Center that the non-citizen was residing illegally in the Houston area and was wanted for allegedly murdering two gang members in Mexico during a botched plane hijacking attempt. a shipment of illicit narcotics.
  • A 21-year-old illegal Mexican national wanted in Veracruz, Mexico, for homicide was arrested May 24 in Splendora. The arrest was made by ERO Houston Fugitive Operations Agents, in conjunction with the Splendora Police Department, after officials received information from the ERO Deputy Attaché for Referrals to Mexico and the US Marshals Service indicating that the non-citizen was residing illegally in Splendora.
  • A 42-year-old Honduran illegal national wanted in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, for homicide was apprehended June 3 in southwest Houston. The arrest was made by ERO Houston Fugitive Operations agents just seven hours after receiving information from ERO Atlanta that the non-citizen was wanted for homicide and had fled to Houston.
  • A 41-year-old previously deported Mexican national, wanted in Durango, Mexico, for homicide, was apprehended June 4 in Waco. The arrest was made by ERO Waco Fugitive Operations agents just 12 days after receiving information from NCATC that the non-citizen was residing illegally in Waco.
  • A 40-year-old Mexican national, voluntarily returned three times, wanted in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, for homicide, was apprehended on June 7 in Splendora. The arrest was made by ERO Houston Fugitive Operations agents, in conjunction with the Splendora Police Department, after the non-citizen was encountered and identified as an alien fugitive wanted for murder.

Following the string of arrests, Bret A. Bradford, ERO Houston Field Office Director, explained why his fugitive operations agents are so successful in their jobs and praised them for all they do to enforce our nation’s immigration laws and improve public safety.

“The ability of ERO Houston and ERO Waco fugitive operations agents to quickly translate intelligence into actionable leads that result in the apprehension and deportation of dangerous alien fugitives and other non-citizen criminals of the community is unprecedented in the entire country,” Bradford said. “In one case, they were able to locate and arrest an illegally present murder fugitive in just seven hours, which is almost unheard of given all the logistical hurdles and surveillance required to safely arrest a dangerous fugitive like that one. The work they do day in and day out to uphold the integrity of our nation’s immigration laws and strengthen public safety in the community is truly inspiring and a testament to their unwavering commitment and dedication to their craft.

ERO Houston Field Office Deputy Director John D. Linscott echoed similar sentiments and attributed their success to the professionalism and pride they feel in executing their mission.
