Murder investigation underway in northeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A homicide investigation is underway in northeast Charlotte Thursday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Thursday.

Officers responded to 911 calls about the incident at about 5 a.m. near 4300 Old Interstate Road in northeast Charlotte. One victim was found with unknown injuries and pronounced dead.

The circumstances of the murder are currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
