Work carried out this week on the northern access to Buffalo Lake

Contractors completed work this week to upgrade the north access to Buffalo Lake off County Road 35.

You may recall that the MNR carried out preliminary work earlier this spring to make temporary repairs to an area of ​​the access where the concrete had lifted and cracked due to the frequent freezing and thawing cycles of last winter.

This week, crews completed a complete replacement of the roadway at the access and raised the level of the new docks installed to accommodate the current high water levels due to the wet spring.

Access is now reopened to the public.
