(PICS (Tim McGraw review and setlist from the show in Buffalo, New Yo

Country superstar Tim McGraw, Grammy Award winner Carly Pearce and upcoming up-and-comer Abby Anderson played to a near-capacity crowd last Saturday night at the KeyBank Center in downtown Buffalo. The tour was dubbed the Standing Room Only tour. With the tour already going on for over a month and a half, every artist should be worked on and ready to deliver for Buffalo fans.

PHOTOS from the show, keep scrolling!

First up was newcomer Abby Anderson. She just released her new single “If You Killed Somebody” the day before. She was all smiles and filled with exuberant jubilation on the KeyBank Center stage. It was just her and an acoustic guitarist playing a 4 song set. Besides the aforementioned song, she also performed “Bright Side of Blue,” “Reason I Stay,” and “Hearts on Fire in Mexico.” She sang a cappella and behind her keyboards too. I thought she won over the crowd because they appreciated her sweet sincerity in the way she delivered her songs.

Next up was Cary Pearce. It’s been a little over a year since Pearce was in Buffalo as she opened for Blake Shelton in March 2023. She’s set to release her 4th studio effort titled “Hummingbird” on June 7th. His hour-long set included 12 songs. She had a big stage production for being an opening act. She went back and forth between her trusty acoustic guitar and acapella singing. She also used the push and worked all areas of the stage between her opening track “Diamondback” and her final song of the evening in “I Hope Your Happy Now.” 2 new songs were performed on the upcoming album in “We Don’t Fight Anymore” and “County Made Me Do It”. Overall, Pearce put in a very solid set and it will be interesting to see if his next step is headlining arenas himself.

The show’s headliner was Tim McGraw. He is currently touring in support of his 16th studio album, “Standing Room Only.” There’s not much McGraw hasn’t seen or done since his first record, “Tim McGraw,” released 30 years ago. He is married to fellow country superstar Faith Hill and has toured with Hill a few times over the past decade while touring solo and also releasing her own material. The band began playing the beginning of “Truck Yeah” as McGraw came up from under the stage in a bellow. of smoke. McGraw talked about how his life is surrounded by beautiful women inside and out. He went on to say that even though he has a wife and 3 daughters, he is used to no one listening to him (as the crowd responded with laughter). He dedicated the following song “Just to See You Smile” to them. McGraw went on to say that he’s dedicating the new single “One Bad Habit” to all the guys in the house. McGraw said, “If you have a real good wife like me, then you will understand this song.” These were not the only times his wife was mentioned as there was a video of her in the background playing while the song “Watch the Wind Blow By” was played The violin “Where the Grass Grows” brought a good response, however, when “I Like, I Love It” was played. The crowd participated by singing and dancing as the video played to different parts of the crowd. Another big reaction was when Taylor Swift appeared on the video screen belting out the chorus to “Highway Don’t Care.” “. On top of all that, there were numerous lasers and a huge video screen that went from one side of the stage to the other. Note that at 57, McGraw is trim and in good physical shape, perhaps more than ever.

One of the best spring days in Buffalo in a while, capped off a terrific country music triple bill. The two teamed up to bring a wonderful evening of music to downtown Buffalo!
