Coca-Cola heir Alki David must pay $900 million in sexual assault lawsuit

The heir of a Coca-Cola bottler was again ordered on Monday to pay millions in damages to a former employee who had accused him of sexual assault.

A jury in Los Angeles unanimously ruled that Greek billionaire Alki David must pay the woman identified in her lawsuit as Jane Doe the hefty sum of $900 million over allegations that he harassed and raped her over a three-year period, her lawyer said.

“The facts of this case are so despicable. He raped my client during a trial in another case,” attorney Gary Dordick told the Los Angeles Times.

The abuse allegedly began in February 2016, when the victim was working as a model for several of David’s companies – including Hologram USA, which creates holograms of deceased celebrities.

The atmosphere in that office was “alarmingly hostile,” Jane Doe’s lawyers said. One room was labeled the “rape room” and the door to the human resources office was decorated with a pornographic image that read “HER ASS.”

During a business trip on his private island in Greece, he first tried to kiss her, but she rejected him and he apologized, the lawsuit says.

Jane Doe was fired that same year and did not speak to him again until 2018, when he invited her to join his team as a brand ambassador at his cannabis production company, Swiss-X.

After she accepted the job, David allegedly invited her to his hotel room, where he gave her a sample of a supposed CBD product, but left her feeling drunk and disoriented.

The billionaire is accused in the lawsuit of taking advantage of the mentally disturbed woman by masturbating in front of her and touching her sexually.

The abuse escalated the following year when David allegedly raped her in a small room during a business meeting in the presence of his Doberman, the LA Times reported.

David was on trial at the time for allegedly pushing his employee Mahim Khan in the face with his pelvis.

He was ordered to pay her $58 million for the abuse – this was the third verdict against him this year alone.

Other employees claimed that David tried to force himself on them or fired them because they refused to have sex with him.

“This monumental verdict represents a significant triumph for justice and sets a precedent in the fight against sexual assault in the workplace,” Dordick said in a statement.
