Roanoke Rapids police seek suspect in child pornography investigation

Since Wednesday, Roanoke Rapids police have been searching for a suspect in connection with an investigation into the possession of child pornography.

On Monday, investigators from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received information about an individual involved in the distribution and receipt of child pornography.

27-year-old Cameron Corey Houston was identified as the owner of the child pornography.

Late last week, investigators executed a search warrant for his home in the 1400 block of West Chaloner Drive.

At the time of the search, Houston had already left the area.

Houston’s current whereabouts are unknown, but investigators have reason to believe he may be in the Northern Virginia area.

In Houston, arrest warrants have been issued for 15 counts of second-degree exploitation of minors.

If you have any information regarding Houston’s whereabouts, please contact Investigator S. Bryant at (252) 533-2823.
