Oklahoma City Energy FC will pause its 2022 season as Taft Stadium undergoes renovations.

The team says it will return for the 2023 season.

In a press release, the team stated that the season would be paused due to improvements OKCPS is making to Taft Stadium, including lighting and turf improvements.

The team said: “We appreciate the loyal support we receive from our fans, partners and this great community. As we focus on the future of our club, we will work to minimize the impact of this decision by continuing community engagement and fan interaction. We ask for your patience and understanding as we take a short pause and realign the program for the 2023 season and beyond.”
