The Philadelphia Eagles are embarrassed by the Houston Texans in these new rankings

It’s not cheap to go to an NFL game. Houston Texans tickets alone range from $53 to $385, without getting into taxes and fees, which could really run you close to $100 and well over $400 for a ticket. The cheapest tickets are pretty steep and if you’re like me, you’d rather just stay home and watch the team play than spend hundreds of dollars for a less-than-optimal view.

Still, going to a game is a lot of fun. While it may be less traffic and much cheaper to watch from home, you lose some of the sense of community you can get from attending these kinds of events. Thousands upon thousands of fans hooting and screaming as the Texans take the field and dominate, it’s certainly an experience.

An experience that the Texan top brass seem to want to make as pleasant as possible. Even though ticket prices are high, so are the food and drinks at all of the country’s sporting events. Still, if you’re a beer fan, the Texans may offer the best value of any NFL stadium.

According to Vine Pair (via Tyler Webb on Twitter), the Houston Texans are among the bottom seven teams in terms of price per beer. For a 16 ounce beer in Houston, you pay a flat $8.00. That’s still pretty expensive for a drink at a bar, of course, but it’s almost half as much as what the Philadelphia Eagles charge, which is $14.67. The highest price in the league.

Not only are Texans among the cheapest sellers, but they’re also well below the average price of a beer. The NFL average is $9.56, which works out to $1.56 cheaper to get a beer at Texans NRG Stadium.

Few NFL stadiums will offer you prices as reasonable (comparatively) as the Texans. So if the price of beer disappoints you, remember that it could always be worse. You could pay almost double that amount if you were rooting for the Eagles.

That said, remember to drink responsibly and never drive drunk.
