“Days” star Arianne Zucker admits she felt more attacked by the media than by Trump over the “Grab ‘Em by the Pussy” debacle

Arianne Zucker, the former “Days of Our Lives” star who appeared in an “Access Hollywood” video in which Donald Trump made the infamous “grab ’em by the pussy” comment to Billy Bush, says she felt more attacked by the media at the time than by the future president himself.

Zucker told Rachel Uchitel on the podcast “Miss Understood” that she didn’t realize what Trump and Bush had said until later, when she saw the transcripts, and the ensuing media storm only caused her more grief.

“He made a comment about my legs, I guess, and Billy Bush did too,” Zucker said. “Everyone has talked bad about somebody in their life. It doesn’t matter who you are, everyone has, it’s just people who get caught on camera doing it. Unfortunately, it happens all the time. And if you’ve ever been to a frat party, these things happen. So (when she later read the recorded comments) I thought, ‘Sounds like something my frat friends that I know would say.’ But I just didn’t see it the way people saw it.”

She continued, “I felt attacked by the media because I knew what they wanted. I mean, the most important thing was to get Trump off the ballot. I thought that’s not my job.”

The video in question was from a 2005 “Access Hollywood” shoot on the set of “Days,” where Trump made a guest appearance. In a heated conversation with host Bush, Trump was caught bragging about kissing and groping women.

While she may not be concerned about Trump and Bush’s comments, Zucker filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in February against former “Days of Our Lives” executive producer Albert Alarr, Ken Corday and Corday Productions. The lawsuit said Zucker and other female employees were given tight hugs by Alarr, received offensive comments and were bullied by the executive. The lawsuit also claimed Alarr enjoyed filming aggressive sex scenes and three-way scenes.

Zucker – who played Nicole Walker in over 2,700 episodes – claimed her contract on “Days of Our Lives” was not renewed after she spoke out against Alarr. Her final episode on the soap aired on December 23.
