67 animals removed from Muscatine residence, 2 found dead

MUSCATINE, Iowa (KCRG) – On June 17, the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in connection with an animal neglect case west of the Muscatine city limits.

According to the search warrant, 67 animals were removed from the property, two of which were found dead on the property. Officials say the condition of the interior of the home was deemed unsafe for human habitation.

The investigation is ongoing.
