Police in Mississippi search for group of men who attacked victim with bats, robbed him of money and then shot him multiple times – Magnolia State Live

Jackson Police report the victim was attacked around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near Highway 80 and Gallatin Street.

According to WLBT News in Jackson, four male suspects allegedly approached the victim, attacked him with a baseball bat and robbed him. According to police, the victim was able to fight off his attackers and run away from them. It was only when the man managed to escape that he realized he had been shot multiple times.

The victim then called 911. Police said the injuries were not life-threatening.

The JPD says it is searching for the four suspects and the case is under investigation.
