Burglary investigation in Columbia | fox43.com

COLUMBIA, Pennsylvania – Police are investigating after burglars broke into two Lancaster County businesses overnight.

According to Columbia Borough Police, the affected businesses were located in the 100 block of Lancaster Avenue (Route 462). In each case, the suspects gained entry to the buildings by pushing window air conditioners inside, police said.

Inside, the burglars stole cash from both locations.

The break-ins were captured on surveillance video. Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is asked to contact Columbia police at (717) 684-7735 or submit a tip online.

“The Columbia Borough Police would also like to remind residents who use window air conditioners to ensure the window is secured so the air conditioner cannot be easily removed,” the police department said.
