Heat increases, chance of rain again at the weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Heat, humidity and chances of rain will increase ahead of the weekend.

THURSDAY

On Thursday, a stronger offshore wind will blow, offering some relief from the heat. Temperatures will rise to over 30 degrees during the afternoon under predominantly sunny skies.

FRIDAY

Tropical humidity will arrive from Friday, increasing the humidity and the chance of rain. During the afternoon, isolated showers are expected, which will gradually subside after sunset. The heat index will begin to rise, reaching values ​​of around 35 degrees on Friday afternoon.

THIS WEEKEND

The heat will continue to increase over the weekend, with heat indexes rising to nearly 100°. Rain chances will decrease a little on Saturday, with a slightly higher chance of afternoon showers on Sunday. The hottest weather will be Sunday, when heat indexes will rise above 100° inland along the Waterway.
