16-year-old arrested after shooting, police say

BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) – A 16-year-old boy has been arrested following his alleged involvement in a shooting incident.

According to Bloomington police, the boy was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm and taken to the juvenile detention center.

The incident occurred on June 5 at approximately 6:05 p.m. Officers were called to the 1000 block of West Front Street.

The boy was arrested by police officers and Illinois State Police officers on Tuesday.

Nobody was injured.
