Motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV at Oakland County intersection

FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan. – A motorcyclist was killed overnight in a collision with an SUV at an intersection in Oakland County.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, around 10 p.m. at the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Grand River Avenue in Farmington Hills.

Officials said the 32-year-old Redford Township man who was driving the motorcycle was taken to Corewell Hospital in Farmington Hills, where he died of his injuries.

The 21-year-old Novi man who was driving the Ford Explorer that collided with the motorcycle is cooperating with the investigation and has been released.

Authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a cause of the accident.
