INDEPENDENT NEWS MEDIA

Phoenix authorities said Tuesday that there was no evidence of foul play in the drowning death of a 30-year-old woman over the weekend.

On June 16, around 8 p.m., police found Angela Lisa floating on a raft with her head in the water near 1700 East Thunderbird Road, a news release said.

She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

“There are currently no signs that suggest a crime has been committed. Preliminary information suggests that impairment may play a role,” the press release states.

The investigation is still pending: an autopsy and a toxicology report have not yet been completed.
