Woman dies when car crashes into tree on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A woman was killed when her car crashed into a tree on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 4:26 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Southampton Road.

According to police, 26-year-old Noel Alaida of Philadelphia lost control of her 1998 Toyota Camry and crashed into a tree on Center Street.

The car then came to a stop on the northbound lane.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
