Guy Watson from Penarth guilty of sexually abusing a man

Guy Watson, 33, had oral sex with his victim, who claimed to be heterosexual, and snorted cocaine from his victim’s penis.

Watson, of Royal Buildings in Stanwell Road, Penarth, was found guilty of seven charges, including sexual assault and inducing a man to engage in penetrative sexual acts, following a week-long trial at Cardiff Crown Court which lasted from 10 to 14 June.

In December 2022, Watson’s victim was traveling with one of his friends and was sitting in the passenger seat drinking wine from a water bottle.

When he got home, he still wanted to go out and asked around if anyone wanted to accompany him.

Watson responded and took the complainant with him.

After drinking at Wetherspoons in Barry, they ended up back at Watson’s flat where they continued drinking and listening to music. At this point the victim’s memory fades.

He claims he woke up the next morning and remembered nothing while wearing the defendant’s denim shorts.

Videos that the defendant found on his phone days after the incident provided clues as to what had happened during the time of his temporary memory loss.

They showed Watson performing oral sex on the plaintiff and snorting cocaine from his penis.

In Watson’s defense, his attorney argued that the plaintiff, who said he was so drunk that he lost his memory, was nevertheless able to record the incident on his phone.

Although the plaintiff said he liked women and was not gay, Watson’s defense questioned his behavior that night and suggested he might not be completely heterosexual.

“What do you do if you are openly heterosexual and you get a massage from an openly gay man after having a drink?”

Watson’s defense further claimed: “Then allow him to suck your penis.”

Nevertheless, a jury found Watson guilty on seven counts, including five counts of sexual assault and two counts of inducing a man to engage in penetrative sexual acts, after Watson’s victim stated that he was “straight” and “attracted women.”

Watson was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in July.
