Pedestrian struck in Buffalo Township, coroner steps in – Butler Eagle

The Butler County Coroner was dispatched to the 700 block of Ekastown Road in Buffalo Township where a vehicle struck a pedestrian just before 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19.

According to Buffalo Township Police Chief Tim Derringer, the crash occurred while a single-cab pickup truck was traveling east on Ekastown Road.

Derringer said an individual was doing yard work when he was struck by the truck.

Ekastown Road has been closed between Coal Hollow Road and Sarver Road since crews responded to the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by Buffalo Township Police.

The Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company, Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and EMS were also requested to respond.
