Victim dies after incident on College Boulevard

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) – The victim of a shooting Tuesday morning at an Oceanside apartment has died, police confirmed.

The incident occurred at about 1:10 a.m. in the 1800 block of College Boulevard. Few details about the shooting have been released, but authorities said it occurred in an apartment.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. In an update Wednesday morning, Oceanside police told FOX 5/KUSI that the victim died around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting; police now suspect it was a murder.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is asked to contact police at 760-435-4900.
