Police: Man injured after night-time shooting in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in Suffolk, police said.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., the Suffolk Emergency Communications Center received a report of a shooting incident in the 200 block of Pitchkettle Road. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated at the scene by the Suffolk Fire Department and then transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
