Yellow weather warning: Dangerous heat continues on Wednesday, with local storms

ROCHESTER, NY — Wednesday is set to be another hot day with temperatures in the 80s and high humidity.

There is a yellow warning for the heat index with temperatures expected to be in the 100-105 degree range. Take it easy outside on Wednesday.

In addition to the intense heat, there is also a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and into the evening hours. Should a storm develop, it could be more likely to be strong and locally intense, with damaging wind gusts and possibly torrential rain. Thursday will also be very hot and there will be local thunderstorms, so the yellow warning will also apply for Thursday. On Friday the temperatures will be a little lower, but still humid.
