According to officials, an argument broke out between two residents at the time of the shooting.

BURLINGTON, NC — Police say a man was arrested after firing multiple shots at a Burlington apartment complex Tuesday night.

Officials said the Burlington Communications Center received several calls reporting shots fired in the parking lot of the Brittany Apartments on Huffman Mill Road around 5:40 p.m.

Officers on scene identified the man as 22-year-old Michael Bissette.

Through investigation, officers determined that an argument had broken out between two Bisette residents and another resident, which escalated when Bisette made verbal threats and fired shots. No one was injured.

Bisette was arrested and charged with discharging a weapon within city limits, assault, uttering threats, and terrorizing the public with a weapon. He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center on $10,000 bail.
