POLICE SAY OFFICERS CAME TO THE WOODSIDE VILLAGE APARTMENT COMPLEX AT 1050 LAST NIGHT AND FOUND 24-YEAR-OLD TYSHAWN FARMER WITH MULTIPLE GUNSHOT WOUNDS. HE LATER DIED IN THE HOSPITAL. Police: Murder suspect from Virginia arrested in North Carolina

Danville police are investigating a homicide that occurred late Tuesday night. Officers said they responded to a call from the Woodside Village apartment complex on Piney Forest Road at 10:49 p.m. Investigators said they found Tasean Delvecchio Farmer, 24, of Danville, shot multiple times inside an apartment. He was later pronounced dead at Sovah Health. Investigators say 22-year-old Danville resident Richard Lee Wilson Jr. fled the scene. He was later located and arrested. Wilson is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm inside an occupied structure. He is in custody in North Carolina. This case remains under investigation and law enforcement say it appears to be an isolated incident.
