Chippewa County man reaches settlement in child sexual assault case | Crimes & Courts

CHIPPEWA COUNTY (WQOW) – A rural Chippewa Falls man is convicted in September of repeatedly sexually abusing a child.

Josiah Dehusson pleaded no contest to one of the charges against him on Tuesday, in return for dismissal of a second, identical charge.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim told investigators that the assaults had continued for years and began in 2020, when she was 14 years old. Dehusson would have been 36 years old at the time.

When the verdict is announced, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
