Hospitality training to be offered next month in Buffalo – Sheridan Media

The Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA) and the University of Wyoming’s Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism and Hospitality (WORTH) Initiative will offer a free hospitality training program on Tuesday, June 4 in the Fraley Room of the County Library Johnson to Buffalo.

The program is open to those working in hospitality, retail, or any customer service-oriented business and organization.

Johnson County is one of the first counties in the state to offer this free training to the public, as the JCTA supports the goal of a high-level customer experience for those who visit.

Two sessions will be offered, one from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the other from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the aim of making the program more practical for hospitality workers.

According to a release from the JCTA, participating in the WORTH Initiative is an opportunity to improve one’s skills and knowledge in the field of customer service and hospitality. With a focus on Johnson County, this program will not only provide participants with the latest industry knowledge and best practices, but will also foster an in-depth understanding of the unique dynamics of the local hospitality sector.

The program will include some customer service basics, an understanding of tourism in Wyoming and Johnson County, and a discussion of service expectations.

The mission of the WORTH (Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality) Initiative is to support, grow, and diversify Wyoming’s economy through the outdoor recreation, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

Pre-registration is suggested and can be done at: https://gopokes.formstack.com/forms/johnson_county_hospitality_summit.

Those who pre-register will be eligible for drawings at the end of each session.
