Russia suspends participation in OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and freezes its contributions

The Federation Council and the State Duma will jointly draft a resolution suspending Russia’s participation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and freezing Russian contributions to the organization, said Federation Council spokeswoman Valentina Matviyenko, APA reports, citing Interfax.

“Colleagues, I would support this. Let us instruct the committee to work with colleagues in the State Duma and draft a resolution to suspend our participation and, consequently, the Russian Federation’s contributions to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly,” Matviyenko said at a meeting of the Federation Council on Wednesday.
