A vigilante in Queens – as well as others at the bodega – helped catch the suspected Kissena Park rapist. June 18, 2024.

(Queens, NY) – Jeffrey Flores has two little sisters. He’s also expecting a baby girl. And he says the thought of loved ones being victims of assault was on his mind as he stepped in and helped catch a suspected rapist Tuesday. Flores told reporters he recognized the suspect – Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi – from security camera photos shown on the news. He said they shopped at the same store.

So on Tuesday, Flores took action and dragged Inga-Landi out of the store – while shouting to other customers: “That’s the rapist.” He admits that he hit the suspect several times before others helped to subdue the man before police could arrive.

Last Thursday, Inga-Landi allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park in Flushing after tying her and her 13-year-old boyfriend up with a knife. He also allegedly stole their cell phones and warned the children not to tell authorities.

A massive police presence descended on the park and offered a $10,000 reward for help in apprehending the suspect. The New York Post reports that Inga-Landi, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, was deported by an immigration judge two years ago. He was reportedly living in a nearby taxpayer-funded SRO home.
