Double murder under investigation in Sequoyah County

SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Oklahoma – An investigation is underway after two people were shot at a gas station in Sequoyah County.

The incident occurred at LaFerry’s Propane between Sallisaw and Gans on Highway 64.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane says officers along with agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) are on scene with two dead.

Law enforcement authorities do not currently know the cause of death, but preliminary investigations indicate it is a possible double homicide, Lane said.

Lane confirmed to 5NEWS that both were employed at LaFerry’s.

There is currently no information available about the suspect.
