Motorcyclist dead after accident with three cars in Peoria

PHOENIX — A motorcyclist was killed in a three-car crash in Peoria Monday afternoon, authorities said.

According to Peoria police, Brian Radford, 52, was riding his Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle eastbound on Northern Avenue around 12:15 p.m. when he was struck by a Dodge Caravan that was turning left onto 75th Avenue.

The Dodge Caravan then collided with a Jeep Patriot that was in the left-turn lane on 75th Avenue.

Radford, a Sun City resident, died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Caravan remained at the scene and was uninjured.

The intersection was closed for about five hours for the investigation.

No further information was available.
