Fatal accident on Fort Jackson Blvd

A man died after an accident between a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

According to a tweet from Columbia Police, an accident involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck occurred on Fort Jackson Boulevard and Wildcat Drive shortly before 6 p.m.

The police traffic and safety department is investigating the fatal accident.

The name of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.

The accident remains under investigation.
