ABC-7 First Alert – Humidity increasing Wednesday through Friday – some storms developing

Temperatures will remain hot on Wednesday, with highs around 39 degrees. Later in the day, winds will shift to the southeast, bringing moisture and humidity westward across El Paso and southern New Mexico. This will bring some showers and thunderstorms later on Wednesday. Rain chances and cooler temperatures will continue on Thursday and Friday — highs between 27 and 30 degrees on both days — thanks to higher humidity and clouds.

RUIDOSO WEATHER UPDATE:

Rain chances will be better in the mountains later Wednesday and Friday, so Ruidoso should see more rain and gustier winds in and around the storms. The winds could spread the flames and fire more dangerously. Wind gusts could reach over 50 mph from the southeast.
