UPDATE: Injured motorcyclist flown out by helicopter after accident on I-24 in Murfreesboro on Sunday

Murfreesboro, TN – New information has emerged about a serious car crash that occurred on I-24 this past Sunday, June 16, involving a 54-year-old man named Anthony Davis. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. near the Old Fort Parkway exit. Davis was traveling westbound on a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control near mile marker 78.

Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene to assist Davis. The severity of the accident caused significant delays on the highway. Impatient drivers tried to avoid the traffic jam, turning around and driving in the opposite direction to exit via the New Salem Highway interchange ramp. This chaotic scene unfolded as a rescue helicopter arrived to take Davis to a hospital.

The helicopter was able to land safely and Davis was immediately flown away from the scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital. However, further details on the extent of his injuries have not yet been released.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
