Pedestrian killed in crash on I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas, identified

KANSAS CITY, Kansas — The Kansas Highway Patrol has Pedestrian was killed in an accident on Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kansas last week.

The accident was reported just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, on eastbound I-70, east of 18th Street.

According to KHP, a pedestrian was traveling eastbound on I-70 and was struck by a vehicle. The driver stopped and no one in the car was injured.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and identified as 34-year-old Cory Allen Poland of KCK.

The incident remains under investigation.
