Motorcyclist killed in Cedar Rapids accident identified

CEDAR RAPIDS – Cedar Rapids Police have identified a motorcyclist killed in a crash Friday as 35-year-old Corey Lee of Cedar Rapids.

According to a Cedar Rapids police news release, Lee was traveling south on First Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Friday when he collided with a northbound car that was turning left from First Avenue onto 27th Street NE.

Cedar Rapids police, fire and ambulance services arrived at the scene. Lee was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later, the press release said.
