(ABC 6 News) – Following Monday’s strong storm surge, Kasson Public Utilities has issued an energy peak warning for Tuesday afternoon.

This peak staff alert will last from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. During this time, residents are asked to use less electricity due to damage from Monday’s storms.

During this warning, residents can save electricity by setting the air conditioning to 74 degrees or higher.

Other ways to save energy during this time include doing the laundry later or running the dishwasher later, using the microwave instead of the oven, or not turning on the television or game consoles.
