“Eat. Sleep. CPM machine. Physical therapy. Repeat”

The former Vampire Diaries actress has shared an update as she continues to recover from a bicycle accident that left her knee “broken.”

Nina Dobrev continues to recover from a dirt bike accident that resulted in the Vampire Diaries Graduate must undergo surgery on her anterior cruciate ligament, meniscus and broken knee.

The 35-year-old actress shared an update to her Instagram Stories on Monday, posting a series of photos of herself in bed and posing with medical equipment.

“In case you’re wondering what I’ve been up to,” Dobrev wrote over a series of four photos. “Eat. Sleep. CPM machine. Physical therapy. Repeat.”

“If you’ve had this injury, you know what a CPM is… the rest of you don’t,” she explained in her caption.

A CPM machine – short for continuous passive motion – is a motorized device that “gently bends a joint back and forth to aid recovery after a joint injury or surgery.” Verywell Health explained.

Unlike many exercises in physical therapy, here a CPM machine – not the patient – does all the work. The goal is to “restore the range of motion of a joint to pre-treatment levels.” Verywell Health explains, “and prevent scarring, which can lead to loss of joint mobility.”

The Sick girl Star shared details of her accident in the June 12 episode of The conversationwhich she said was the first time she actually left the house in over two months.

“Never get on a dirt bike. I did a wheely, lost control, throttled the whiskey, the bike flew,” Dobrev said. “Luckily it didn’t fall on me, which the doctor said would have been much worse. But when I landed, I landed on one leg, straight, and my knee just broke.”

Dobrev explained, “I have huge braces. I can’t really walk on my own yet,” but said she was happy to get out of the house and “have an excuse to dress up.”

“Cuddles are my life these days, it’s just the puppies, and at home I watch movies, do physiotherapy, eat, sleep or pee,” she told the hosts and revealed that she also uses the time to watch Fargo.

Dobrev underwent surgery in early June and revealed on Instagram that it was “a success 🫶🏼.”

She has since been recovering at home and said her boyfriend of four years, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, is keeping her happy.

The three-time gold medalist wore a sweater with “Elena Gilbert” – her character from “Vampire Diaries” – embroidered in large black letters with colorful outlines of her face.

The champion paired the sweater with shorts and a matching baseball cap and shook his butt for the injured actress, to which Dobrey giggled and said, “You’re crazy and I love it!”
