Migrant accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a New York park was deported by an immigration judge two years ago

The Ecuadorian migrant who was arrested on Tuesday for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park had already been asked to leave the United States in 2022, according to information obtained by The Post.

According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources, an immigration judge in New York City has ordered 25-year-old Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi to leave the country on February 2, 2022.

Inga-Landi – who is facing rape charges for the gruesome June 13 attack in Kissena Park – is believed to have asked for some form of relief or appealed the deportation order in order to remain in the United States, the sources said.

According to the sources, he crossed the besieged U.S.-Mexico border with his son on June 25, 2021, and arrived in Eagle Pass, Texas, where he was detained, processed and released by border patrol agents.

Inga-Landi told officials that he would be living in an apartment in Flushing, New York.

He and his son, whose age was not immediately known, were turned over to a local nonprofit organization along with a document called a summons that specified a future court date.

Border officials deemed the family “inadmissible” because they did not have the necessary papers to stay in the United States. However, for “humanitarian” reasons, they were released with a summons to appear in immigration court.

According to sources, most migrants who cross the border illegally are considered inadmissible but are released anyway.

“People are being released with NTAs because the Border Patrol cannot hold detainees for more than 72 hours,” a source explained.

Police arrested Inga-Landi early Tuesday, five days after he allegedly threatened a young girl and a 13-year-old boy at machete point in a broad daylight attack in the park.

According to authorities, Inga-Landi approached the two teenagers and forced them to go to a secluded part of the park.

From there, he tied her wrists with shoelaces and then allegedly sexually abused the girl.

He then took the two teenagers’ cell phones and ordered them to stay there for twenty minutes after he fled the scene, police said.

The teens later ran to a nearby school, where staff called 911.

A large-scale manhunt was launched to track down the monster.

“Everyone has been tense since the news came out because we all have small children playing here and it happened during the day,” father Alankar Ngar told The Post over the weekend.
