Huntsville man attacked by stranger in his home

A Huntsville man is behind bars after pleading guilty to a series of disturbing charges.

In a recent appearance in a Bracebridge courtroom, 34-year-old Frank Lamb pleaded guilty to several charges, including harassment, publishing intimate images without consent, criminal damage, assault and failure to comply with court orders.

The court heard that on May 27, 2023, the Huntsville OPP were called to an address by a man who said an unwanted person was at his home. The caller said an unknown person came onto his property and knocked on his door at approximately 1:00 a.m. The victim said the unknown person, later identified as Lamb, appeared to be involved in an argument.

Lamb was looking for a man who was not in the apartment, and when asked to leave by the victim, Lamb became aggressive, the court heard. Lamb then punched the victim in the head several times and chased him through his home before the man was able to escape and hide in his garage. However, Lamb damaged several vehicles in the garage before the victim was able to escape and return to his home, where he called police. Lamb ran into the woods before police arrived, but was eventually caught.

During the fight, the victim suffered a cut on his hand that required five stitches.

The defense said Lamb had a cocaine problem and was going through a difficult time personally.

The total sentence proposed was six months in prison and two years probation.
