The police are now investigating Patrick Beverley Ball throwing incident…confirming TMZ Sports On Wednesday, the NBA player is currently being investigated by police.

A spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department tells us that officers actually took a case report on May 2 after Beverley hurled a basketball at Indiana fans not once, but twice near the end of the Bucks’ playoff game against the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Patrick Beverly is a disgrace to the profession. This and his antics after the game should justify a longer ban. No respect at all.

According to the spokesperson, the report has since been forwarded to investigators who are now trying to gain access to additional videos from the arena… and interview the parties involved.

The spokesman added that investigators are expected to pass on their findings to prosecutors once they complete the investigation.

Beverley has not yet commented publicly on the criminal investigation… although earlier this week on his “The Pat Bev Podcast with RoneOn the podcast, he expressed remorse for his actions and called his behavior “inexcusable.”

As for why he did it, he said the fans’ trash-talking in the arena crossed the line. But he reiterated that he shouldn’t have thrown the ball into the crowd.

“It doesn’t matter what was said,” he said. “I have to get better and I will be better.”

Meanwhile, the NBA has not yet announced any punishment for the Milwaukee star.
