According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to 1205 S State Road in Palatka at around 2:48 a.m., where the victim reported that Tichvon sent her a message unrelated to her child. In the message, Tichvon talked about being in the emergency room and requested a car seat. He also reportedly accused the victim of lying and withholding her child from him.

The victim, who had obtained a restraining order against Tichvon, showed police a screenshot of the message, which was sent at 5:09 p.m. on June 15. She told officers that Tichvon had threatened to kick down her door and that she was in an unknown location out of fear. She also mentioned that Tichvon had been harassing her since their breakup.

Since this was already the fourth incident within a short period of time, the police decided to forward the complaint of serious stalking to the public prosecutor’s office for further investigation.

Later that same day, police were called to the Interlachen Police Department. The victim had reported that Tichvon had violated the restraining order by asking a police officer to contact her about the child exchange.

Tichvon explained to officers that he was supposed to meet the victim at the police station to pick up her child, but she did not show up. After being unable to reach her by phone, he asked an officer to contact her. After reviewing the situation, police confirmed that this was another violation of the restraining order.

Tichvon was arrested and taken to the Putnam County Jail, claiming he was unaware that the restraining order prohibited any contact with the victim. Both incidents were captured by the officers’ body cameras.
