Police: Fond du Lac man arrested after stabbing with scissors and alcohol

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac have arrested a man following a reported stabbing incident that left someone hospitalized.

According to Fond du Lac police, officers responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of East 1st Street around 10:20 p.m. on June 17. It was mentioned that a man may have been stabbed.

Officers set up a perimeter and attempted to remove people from the home. Several people were reportedly able to leave the home, but one victim and one suspect were not. It was confirmed that someone was stabbed inside the home.

The press release states that officers found a 41-year-old Fond du Lac man with a stab wound. A 45-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested.

The man with the stab wound was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his back.

Authorities say scissors were involved in the stabbing and were found and collected by officers. Police say alcohol consumption appears to have played a role in the incident.
