Man arrested in Macon following GBI drug investigation

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) – A man was arrested in Macon last week on methamphetamine trafficking charges following a drug investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

32-year-old Tavish Faulks, a Bibb County resident, was arrested for methamphetamine trafficking.

The arrest follows a six-month investigation in which the GBI, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, stopped an SUV with Faulks inside on April 29, 2024.

The GBI seized approximately nine ounces of suspected methamphetamine, 100 suspected fentanyl pills, approximately half an ounce of suspected marijuana and two handguns.

Following the search, a federal search warrant was also executed at an apartment associated with Faulks, where two additional handguns were found.

He has since been booked into the Bibb County Jail.
