A disciplinary investigation against the suspended President of the KwaZulu-Natal Regional Court, Eric Nzimande, appears to be in his favour, as the witnesses summoned by the Magistrates Commission confirmed his version of events in their statements.

Nzimande has been suspended with full pay since October 2018.

The investigation against 63-year-old Nzimande, chaired by retired Supreme Court of Appeal judge Jeremiah Shongwe, is being launched by the Magistrates’ Commission after numerous allegations were made against him.
