Mother of woman killed by illegal immigrant in Maryland delivers message to Biden after arrest of Rachel Morin’s killer

The mother of 20-year-old daughter Kayla Marie Hamilton, who was raped and killed in her Maryland bed by an illegal immigrant in her RV in 2022, has a message for Joe Biden following the arrest of Rachel Morin’s killer. The cases of Morin, 37, and Hamilton are similar in some ways, as both were from Maryland and were raped and killed by Salvadoran migrants. In the Morin case, the man charged was 23-year-old Victor Martinez-Hernandez, who is believed to have entered the U.S. illegally in January 2023.

“It’s happening because the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services are not doing their jobs and other branches of power like the police and the government are not doing anything to prevent it,” Hamilton’s mother, Tammy Nobles, told the New York Post. “And Biden is certainly not trying to prevent these types of crimes. He’s the one who is welcoming the illegal immigrants here.”

“Government agencies at the federal and local levels must take responsibility and put the American people first, not last. Our safety is not the first priority,” Nobles added.

In addition to the murders of Hamilton and Morin, another case shocked the nation: the murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at Augusta University who was killed while jogging at the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens. A suspect, an illegal immigrant named Jose Antonio Ibarra, was later arrested.

Nobles expressed her disappointment that such brutal incidents are recurring.

Tammy Nobles’ message for Joe Biden

“I am incredibly sad that something like this has happened again. I understand what Rachel’s mother and her family are going through and the nightmare they have to endure every day,” Nobles said, speaking of Morin’s murder.

Morin’s killer is said to have murdered another woman in the past. “My message to Biden would be to close the border and start vetting and background checking all illegal immigrants and process the cases of those who came here legally,” Nobles said.

“We cannot continue to let everyone in without thoroughly vetting them and researching their backgrounds,” she said, adding that she is advocating for her murdered daughter and other victims to “try to prevent tragedies like Kayla and Rachel’s.”

Nobles’ attorney in California is helping her sue the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services for $100 million for the “preventable murder of Kayla.”
