Avika Gor remembers sexual harassment by a bodyguard: “Tried to touch me from behind”

Avika Gor, who entered show business as a child, has had many experiences, both good and bad. In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, she shared that she was sexually harassed by a bodyguard. Avika described an incident in Kazakhstan where a bodyguard touched her inappropriately on the way to the stage at an event, which shocked her. She remembered feeling someone touching her from behind, and when she turned around, she saw that it was her bodyguard. It almost happened again, but she stopped him by grabbing his hand.

“I remember someone touched me from behind. When I turned around, only the security guard was there. I remember when I went on stage, someone tried to touch me from behind. When I turned around, I remembered that I only saw the security guard and no one else. I remember it was going to happen for the second time, and I stopped it,” she said, adding, “It’s shameful… I just looked at him and thought, ‘What?’ and he just apologized. So what do I do after that? So I just let it go. You don’t know what effect his act has on the other person. At that moment, she wasn’t sure how to react. Now she knows how to handle such situations. She said, “If I had had the courage to turn around and give it, I would have hit a lot of people by now. Now I think I can do it, but I hope it doesn’t come to that.”

Balika Vadhu, which began airing in 2008, quickly became a sensation and its cast, including Avika Gor, became household names. Since then, Avika, who started out as a child actress, has become a well-known face in the Hindi television industry. She had started acting at the age of seven and has since then built a huge fan following with her performances and stylish looks.
