Gordon Ramsay reflects on fatal accident

Gordon Ramsay recently announced that he was lucky to have survived the near-fatal bicycle accident.

The world-class chef shared his gruesome injury on Instagram and spoke about his recent accident, which occurred over the weekend.

Referring to his chest bruise, Ramsay wrote in the caption: “I want to share a very important message with you all. You know how much I love cycling, triathlons, Iron Man etc. During the week I unfortunately had a really bad accident. It really shook me up. Honestly I’m glad to be here.”

He continued: “The incredible trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses and hospital that have taken care of me this week have been amazing.”

Gordon also urged his 17.5 million followers to “wear a helmet” despite the duration.

The Master Chef used the platform to raise awareness of an important issue.

He added: “I don’t care how short the ride is. I don’t care that these helmets cost money. But they are essential. Even on short rides, the children must wear a helmet.”

“Now I’m happy to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m getting through it somehow. But I can’t tell you how important it is to wear a helmet,” he concluded.
