“Serious accident” leads to road closure in Scotland Neck, according to police

SCOTLAND NECK, NC (WNCN) — A portion of a road in Scotland Neck was temporarily closed Thursday evening due to a serious accident, according to police.

According to police, the accident occurred on Highway 258 near River Road, just outside Scotland Neck.

The police department released photos of the rescue workers and a helicopter at the scene.

Police said the road was temporarily closed and is now open again.

It is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident and how many injuries there were.
