Chennai, June 10: A shocking rape incident has come to light in Tamil Nadu. A schoolgirl was allegedly raped by two men who, with the help of a woman, slipped alcohol into her drink. The alleged rape incident took place last month during a birthday party in Saligramam. The accused have been identified as Pratisha Akira and her two friends Somesh and Williams.

According to a report in Indian TimesThe incident came to light on Friday, June 7, after the 15-year-old victim suffered stomach pains. The victim then told her sister about the alleged assault, who took her to the police and filed a complaint. Based on the complaint filed by the girl’s family, the police arrested Akira and her boyfriend Somesh. They have also launched a manhunt to nab Williams. Victim raped at birthday party after woman put something in her drink

According to the complaint, Class 11 student Pratisha met Akira at a cafe in Anna Nagar and later became friends. In May, Akira invited the victim to her birthday party at her apartment in Saligramam. Police said Somesh and Williams mixed drugs into the victim’s drink, after which she fell unconscious after drinking. Later, the two raped the student.

Accused woman threatens victim and warns of harm

When the minor girl woke up the next day, she realized that she had been raped. Police officials said Akira threatened the victim not to tell anyone about the incident. The victim also told police officers that Akira warned that her friends would harm her if she reported the incident to the police. After the girl’s medical examination confirmed the rape, police officers arrested the accused. Meanwhile, the police have launched a manhunt for Williams, the third accused in the case. During preliminary investigation, the police found that Akira is a junior artist in the film industry while her friend Somesh is a college student. Both Somesh and Williams are said to be in their twenties.
