Man found shot dead in his Velda City apartment

PAGEDALE, Missouri – Police found a man shot to death in his Velda City apartment Friday night.

Shortly after 8 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting near the intersection of Lucas-Hunt Road and Lexington Avenue, but investigators believe the shooting occurred earlier, Pagedale Police Chief Anthony Huckleberry said.

A suspect was taken into custody.

Police did not disclose the victim’s age.
